When was the last time someone convinced you to buy their product or service with paragraphs of text? Probably 1995, right?

The sales proposal has changed, and for the better. But many companies are still serving up their information via text, and they wonder why they’re not seeing conversions.

The statistics are clear, video is the way people prefer to learn. Imagine what sending a video follow-up to a proposal could do for your conversions.

In this episode of Video Marketing Mastery, we’ll talk about how to use video to illicit a response from your prospects and improve your conversion rates.

Does customer service matter? Yes! Does follow-up matter? Yes! But it’s how you do these things and how you leverage video that determines the success of every tactic.

To learn how the power of video will skyrocket the success of your proposals, tune into this episode of Video Marketing Mastery.

Ep. 148: Remarketing Best Practices for Google and YouTube 2018

May 4, 2018

Picture this, you’ve got tons of people clicking on your Google and YouTube ads, but for some reason your conversions are terrible.

For whatever reason, people are interested enough in your product or service to click your ad, but not quite ready to commit. How do you get those people back and continue to communicate your message to them?

If you could ensure that your branding and message stayed in front of your target audience long after they clicked on one of your ads or visited your site, would you?

What if I said that doing so would provide you with substantial ROI and do wonders for your conversion rates?

This is essentially what remarketing on Google and YouTube can do when implemented properly - improve your ROI, give you a broader scope and do it with efficient pricing. But you’ve got to understand how it works.

In this episode of Video Marketing Mastery, we’ll talk about the latest developments with Google and YouTube remarketing and how you can use it to take your digital ads from nominally effective to massively effective.

April 26, 2018

This is great news because, as we all know, advertising on LinkedIn has been a few years behind for a while now.

The only way to create successful video content for LinkedIn’s advertising platform is to optimize them for your audience and, of course, target the right people.

If you’re ready to create powerful video ads that help you succeed right away, tune into this episode of Video Marketing Mastery.

I’ll break down video ad metrics, specs, and what you need to know to create your first video ad campaign on LinkedIn right away.

Ep. 146: Why You Should Support Free Speech, Especially For People You Disagree With

April 24, 2018

Congress, censorship, and LinkedIn...oh my!

Oh yeah, and my touristy trip to Vegas, but you’ll need to tune in to hear my BroBasket inspired story (see the picture in this episode’s show notes).

This probably isn’t news to most of you, but after Mark Zuckerberg testified in front of congress last week, we all found out how out of touch members of congress are with the internet and social media. We even have a sound bite compilation to share on this episode that’s both sad and entertaining, but mostly enlightening.

The internet is a great place to express your opinion, or is it? Reddit recently made the news due to its CEO’s views on censorship. I’ve never been shy about my opinion on the matter, but after expressing my opinion on my breaking news site, the backlash was intense.

In this episode, we’ll talk about why free speech is so important and why all speech is valuable. Yep, you heard that right.

And finally, we’ve got new developments to talk about with LinkedIn video ads. You don’t want to miss this episode of Video Marketing Mastery.

Ep. 145: Social Media’s Maturity Moment of Truth Has Arrived

April 10, 2018

The social media landscape is radically changing and marketers are scrambling to keep up with algorithm and privacy changes.

As marketers, many people have gotten used to automating and mass publishing content to their social media audiences, but it looks like the time for those tactics is over.

Gone are the days of mass tweeting, click-baiting and carpet bombing your audience with as much content as possible.

New changes usher in a day where social media marketers will need to fundamentally change the way they’ve been engaging with their audience.

So do we drop social media altogether and focus somewhere else? Is this mountain of changes scaleable, or are Facebook and Twitter trying to destroy your business?

The harsh reality is that marketers are going to have to grow up and learn how to engage and delight their audiences.

In this episode of Video Marketing Mastery, I talk with Mark Traphagan of Stone Temple about what’s going on with social media and the shifts we think will be vital for social media marketers in the future.

We’ll talk about the kind of content, engagement, and interactions that you should have been doing all along to provide value to your audience.

So if you’re ready to make the necessary changes to help you win on social media again, you don’t want to miss this episode.

Ep. 144: How to Turn Your Website into Your Best Salesperson

March 29, 2018

Nobody wants to talk to your salespeople. Well, maybe not nobody, but 88% of buyers don’t want to speak to a salesperson until they’re ready to make a purchase.

So what’s a company to do? You’ve got to sell somehow.

Enter, the internet. You’ve got a website, now it’s time to turn that website into your most valuable salesperson.

The internet has disrupted traditional sales systems, so it’s only logical that the internet should be how you queue up most of your sales.

When you consider the buyer’s journey and you provide ALL of the information people are looking for (yes, including pricing), your website can be the salesperson that delivers the most qualified leads to your human salespeople.

Sound a little out there? At Wirebuzz we’ve seen clients optimize their websites to be their salespeople and experience exponential success time and time again.

If you’re curious about how to make your site your most valuable salesperson, you need to listen to this episode of Video Marketing Mastery.

Tune in to hear me interview my Director of Strategy, Marcus Krieg about the best way to use video to queue up your sales and qualify your leads before a person ever talks to them.

Ep. 143: How to Build a Smart Customer Journey to Sell Faster

March 28, 2018

Wouldn’t it be great if your website was like the Autobahn that brought customers in and moved them quickly through the sales process?

A lot of websites work hard to tell the company’s story and present the benefits of the company’s product, front and center.

However, a really great site starts where the buyers are when they arrive. Here’s what we mean by that.

You need to prepare your potential customers for what’s on your website before they get there. That’s right, pre-framing.

Any message you put out there in every marketing and sales asset should function as a piece of the customer journey that moves them from resistance to a buyer.

You need the steps to understand how to align your content to the customer journey, and we’re going to give you those steps in this episode of Video Marketing Mastery.

Join me as I talk to my Director of Strategy, Marcus Krieg about the most effective way to tie all of your content to the customer journey and produce the right content for every function.

Ep. 142: How to Create the Perfect Landing Page

March 21, 2018

Do you know your target personas? If not, it’s probable that your marketing isn’t reaching who you think it should. And you know what that means? Wasted money.

Without personas, your web pages and landing pages will suffer and lack direction for the user.

Did you know that video is 4x more likely to be watched than a page is to be read? But it’s impossible to use video effectively if you don’t know who the video should be speaking to.

If your page is for stay at home moms, your content had better be relevant to stay at home moms, right?

In this episode, I’ll dissect the anatomy of the perfect landing page and tell you step by step how to create pages that convert.

So if you want to learn how to validate your voice and maximize the attention of your audience, tune into this episode of Video Marketing Mastery.

Ep. 141: Could Censorship be the Kiss of Death for Facebook?

March 16, 2018

Nobody likes it when Big Brother shows up and censors them.

Remember when you could go online and basically say whatever you wanted without fear of being deleted...and then all of a sudden, Big Brother showed up.

One by one websites started censoring their users, stopping them from ever expressing opposing positions.

But users won’t stand for this kind of censoring for very long before they find another platform to use. It’s almost formulaic in nature when you see the rise and fall of major platforms. Users flock there for freedom and leave when the censors show up.

Unfortunately, Facebook seems to be following this same formula. About a year ago, they implemented stronger censorship rules, and that’s the point I like to call...the kiss of death.

I know it might sound crazy, but in the last year Facebook's usage has gone down, despite its stock going up. Users are looking for something new, something fresh, something free.

So join me in this episode as I discuss what increased censorship and decreased usage could mean for Facebook, and your marketing efforts on the platform.

Ep. 140: How to Create an Inbound Organization with Dan Tyre

March 9, 2018

So, you have an awesome product or service, but for some reason, customers aren’t flocking to you for it.

Maybe you feel like your marketing tactics are successful on paper, but they’re just not producing the results you need.

Your marketing and sales teams each have no idea what the other is doing, but you’re not sure how to align them.

Basically, you like the idea of being an inbound organization, but you don’t know how to execute the strategy. Or maybe you don’t even know what inbound is.

If this sounds like you, then you need to tune into this episode of Video Marketing Mastery.

In this episode, I interview Dan Tyre of Hubspot. Yes, THE Hubspot. And we talk about the ins and outs of inbound and why every organization needs to understand this important and powerful concept.

In fact, Dan’s such an inbound expert, he just wrote the book on it, literally. So we’ll discuss the concepts of the book in-depth as well.

If you want to transform your organization and provide value to your customers and prospects alike, you don’t want to miss this episode.
